I have had an E71 for a few weeks now which has been great. I did have an older S40 OS based phone to check and send Google Apps email, synchronize contacts and even do a reasonable job of calendar synchronization.
But part of the reason for going for an S60 based phone is that it really means that there is no need to reach for the laptop.
